  • A complete MNPD report for September 10–October 8, including five recent incidents, is available here.

Neighbors also raised speeding near the railroad crossing and Community Center, mail theft near North 8th and Douglas, and a codes notice concerning a vehicle behind a home. Sergeant Maska offered follow-up on patrols, reports, and the codes contact. We also discussed possible Coffee with a Cop gatherings and a food, diaper, and coat collection for neighbors.

Fall Fest and Friends of Cleveland Park

Fall Fest brought an estimated 1,400 neighbors to Cleveland Park and raised roughly $10,000 for Friends of Cleveland Park.

  • We will gather at Cherries on Wednesday, October 14 at 5 p.m. to reflect on Fall Fest and talk about what is next.
  • Friends of Cleveland Park is exploring a Fallon Community Fund application to support a community-led park master plan. The application is due October 15.
  • We discussed how Friends of Cleveland Park and the Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association can work closely together while serving their distinct roles. Friends will continue building its board and planning 2027 park programming.

Park Improvement Ideas

Paths and daily care
Improve walking paths and crossings, expand bathroom availability during pool hours, and add trash cans and dog-waste stations.
Neighborhood resources
Add covered message boards, a Little Free Library or pantry, and more equipment for sports and recreation.
Gathering and activity
Improve the baseball field, explore pavilion electricity and an amphitheater, and continue recurring events and markets.
A plan to make progress
